Home page imageThe joys of playing quickly vanish when the guitar you’re using makes you uncomfortable or sore. I’m not a professional musician myself, but typically enjoy playing sitting down while jotting down notes for my next musical creation or while flipping through music sheets. Sometimes my guitar feels sloppy and slips from my grip. I prefer a more hands-free approach.

Play a complicated arrangement, and energy is robbed from my performance by muscles tightening their grip on the guitar. Turn a page, take a drink, adjust recording controls, etc. and the guitar becomes a burden. Play a Flying V or a 12-pound double-neck guitar while sitting and recording or practicing, and what once seemed glamorous quickly becomes tedious.

Ever practiced in bed, on a bus, in a car, etc. or held an instrument for long periods of time and felt energy drained from your performance? If yes, then relax because Guitar Suspension Solutions is here to help. Paying for studio time? If yes, then your time means money. For you hitting your best notes on time is the bottom line, and Guitar Suspension Solutions’ products may actually save you money in addition to boosting your performance! Experience the power of this first in the industry revolution for yourself!

In 1999, to encourage more practice but with less injury, I set out to develop for guitar players new solutions that improve player performance and ergonomics over the old sling-style guitar strap. Since then I’ve patented a unique line of 21st century products specifically designed for committed guitar players who want to play better longer by concentrating their energy into playing music rather than into supporting their instruments. Universally beneficial for practice, recording, writing music, stage and music therapy, Guitar Suspension Solutions’ products provide comprehensive solutions to help ease you through your toughest situations.

The full Guitar Suspension Solutions complement of tools is available for standing and/or seated play of the entire guitar, bass and banjo spectrum. Select the Guitar Suspension Solutions tools to use by considering the instrument you’re playing, seated or standing play and the environment in which you’re playing. My preference when playing bass is to include Cool-StepTM for 3-Dimensional positioning and four-point weight distribution. Sling-style guitar straps place 100% of the weight at the base of the neck where blood flows to the brain causing discomfort and a loss of concentration. Guitar Suspension Solutions’ products provide solutions to help you play better longer! A GSS flier is available along with a GSS product Catalog/Instruction Manual (English version only) that describes methods and more. For example did you know that:Home page image 2

Sound-AttitudeTM (one size fits most) is a double harness with dual independent suspension straps that work with different connectors in a variety of applications to balance or shift the weight of guitars, paintball markers, grass trimmers, etc. on the shoulders. Converts easily for either left- or right-handed players. Please email us if you're interested in this product.

Bod-LockTM is revolutionary 21st century support for guitars that redirects weight from the shoulders to the waistline (standing) or exclusively to the waistline area (seated).

Pivot-PadTM and Cool-StepTM products perform in a host of applications from classical guitar, as a footstool eliminator (4-inch pad long backboard recommended) or enhancement device, to banjo (standing or seated). Please email us if you're interested in Cool-StepTM.

The Pivot-PadTM backboard tucks around belts or into the waistline of pants while the foam pad (2 & 4-inch available) fills the lower well of the guitar and provides the angle and support often accomplished by crossing one leg under the guitar (seated position). Also simulates the effects found on guitars with rounded backs by allowing the player to tilt the lower part of the guitar upwards to provide better ergonomics for wrists and arms.

Speed-AdjustersTM provide quick length adjustments when connecting Sound-AttitudeTM to guitars. Please email us if you're interested in this product.

Also available, Loop-StrapsTM that provide an alternate clipping platform for Sound-AttitudeTM when combined with Bod-LockTM (standing position) or for securing Bod-LockTM to the waistline area when belt loops are absent (seated position).

Please note that this website is still under development.
